Llanganuco Lagoon
Description
The full day tour Laguna Llanganuco that includes a visit to the towns of the Callejón de Huaylas, the Campo Santo de Yungay (a city that was destroyed in the earthquake and landslide of 1970). You will also visit the Chinancocha lagoon located in the Llanganuco valley between the Huandoy and Huascarán mountains. This circuit that runs through the Callejón de Huaylas is classic and the most important in Huaraz and the Huascarán National Park. Well, during this tour you will visit picturesque cities such as Carhuaz, Yungay, Caraz; as well as small towns along the valley.

Tour Plan
We leave the city of Huaraz and head north through the Callejón de Huaylas and appreciate the beauty of the Cordilleras Blanca and Negra.
We will arrive in Carhuaz to taste rich natural fruit and liquor ice creams, ice creams prepared by hand, we will also have the opportunity to take pictures with the Plaza de Armas and the temple of "La virgen de La Mercedes".
The Tours continues and this time we will pass through the city of Mancos, Tinco, Ranrahirca, Yungay. We will visit the buried city of Yungay (Camposanto de Yungay, destroyed in the earthquake and later flood of 1970. More than 80 thousand people lost their lives and only 300 people were saved, including a large group of children who had attended a circus) .
Then we arrive at Yungay Nuevo, from here we will ascend towards the Llanganuco ravine, we enter the Huascarán National Park, arriving at the Llanganuco Lagoon (Chinancocha, 3850 m.s.n.m), a beautiful lagoon with turquoise waters, surrounded by exotic flora and fauna.
We will stay for approximately 1 hour to ride a boat or horseback, or take a short walk along the interpretive trail.
After a prudent time, we will return to Rocotuyoc to continue descending to where the vehicle awaits us to return to Huaraz.
